NEW CAST AND NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOUR ANNOUNCED

On Monday 10 May a new cast takes over in the London production of ENRON, by Lucy Prebble. The Headlong production, directed by Rupert Goold, also announces a UK tour and an intention to take the production to several international festivals over the coming year.

Following the end of its record-breaking run at the Noel Coward Theatre on 14 August, ENRON will return to Chichester where it opened in 2009, before embarking on a nationwide tour to Birmingham, Bath, Salford, Sheffield, Newcastle and Edinburgh, with further dates to be announced shortly, and then moving on to an international tour. Since it opened in the West End in January 2010, ENRON has broken box office and attendance records at the venue.

From Monday 10 May, the West End production of ENRON will welcome a new cast, with Corey Johnson as Jeffrey Skilling, Paul Chahidi as Andy Fastow, Sara Stewart as Claudia Roe and Clive Francis as Kenneth Lay.

Full cast includes: Shane Attwooll, Matt Blair, Saskia Butler, Paul Chahidi, Simon Coombs, Matt Dempsey, Susannah Fellows, Clive Francis, Derek Hagen, Leila Benn Harris, Ed Hughes, Corey Johnson, Jason Langley, Antonio Magro, Zoe Smith, Sara Stewart, Richard Taylor Woods and Ewan Wardrop.


LAURENCE OLIVIER AWARDS 2010

RUPERT GOOLD has won BEST DIRECTOR for ENRON at the Laurence Olivier Awards. The award was presented at a ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel on 21st March .


RUPERT GOOLD’S PRODUCTION OF LUCY PREBBLE’S ACCLAIMED PLAY EXTENDS ITS RECORD-BREAKING WEST END RUN BY 14 WEEKS

The record-breaking, award-winning, world-premiere production of Lucy Prebble’s celebrated new play ENRON announced an extension to its run at the Noel Coward Theatre. Previously scheduled to close on 8 May, the production will continue to run after this date, with a new cast, until 14 August 2010 (the ninth anniversary of the whistle-blowing letter that precipitated Enron’s collapse).

Since it opened in the West End in January 2010, ENRON has broken box office and attendance records at the Noel Coward Theatre.

ENRON opens on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre on 27 April 2010, and a 10-week tour opens at Chichester Festival Theatre on 10 September 2010.

ENRON won Rupert Goold an Evening Standard Award, Critics Circle Award and Laurence Olivier Award for Best Director and the production received a further five Olivier Award nominations.

Lucy Prebble's critically acclaimed play won BEST NEW PLAY at the 2009 Theatrical Management Association Theatre Awards, which were presented at a ceremony at the Lyric Hammersmith on 1st November.

The world premiere production of Lucy Prebble’s celebrated new play ENRON, which sold-out its entire run at the Minerva Theatre Chichester and has sold all 21,800 tickets before opening its six-week run at the Royal Court Theatre, will transfer to the Noel Coward Theatre on Saturday 16 January 2010.
